MIDLAND PARK — Lose five, win seven. Lose four, win five. The Midland Park High School boys basketball team has had an uncanny knack for rebounding emphatically from tough stretches this season. The Panthers started 0-5 before reeling off seven straight victories to get back into state-playoff contention.

Sitting at 7-5, they then dropped four in a row and missed out on the Bergen County Jamboree. Yet the team responded when the Bergen Invitational Tournament came calling and won five straight to reach the BIT “final four.”
