VERONA — The most successful Pompton Lakes boys basketball season in more than 20 years ended Wednesday night.

Led by senior forward Alex Kaslander (11 points, eight rebounds) and junior forward Frank Ferrari (11 points, six rebounds, three steals), second-seeded Verona topped Pompton Lakes, 39-31, in the North 1, Group 1 quarterfinals.
