HAWTHORNE – Regan Scanlon and Rutherford are headed back to the Bergen Jamboree after winning their fourth consecutive game.
The Bulldogs clinched a bid to the 60th Jamboree after Scanlon scored eight of his team-high 20 points in the fourth quarter of a 56-51 victory over Hawthorne on Tuesday night in NJIC Colonial Division boys basketball.
“It’s been our No. 1 goal all year, it’s been the No. 1 thing that we’ve concerned ourselves with,” Rutherford coach Nick DeBari said. “Ever since the [Bartlett] Christmas tournament, that’s all we’ve talked about every day. So it’s huge for our program going two years in a row.”
