SPECIAL TO THE RECORD
MORRIS PLAINS – What a difference a year made for Sean Sullivan. After finishing 20th at last year’s North 2, Group 2 cross-country championships, the Rutherford junior won the crown Saturday.
“Last year was my first year of cross-country,” Sullivan said. “My last two races of the year were not good. I guess my body was starting to break down by that point.
“I had a lot more knowledge going into this season. I really committed to cross-country over the summer and it paid off big time.”
