WALDWICK — Jon Noschese considers himself lucky having a solid coaching staff working in unison with him in the Waldwick High School boys soccer program.Noschese, the head coach, points to Joe Kelly and Mark Sinclair for helping the team excel each season. “Joe has been the freshman coach for 17 years, and Mark has been the JV coach for seven years,” he said. “It’s a very stable situation that helps us to continue what we’re doing. It’s unusual for a small school to have a freshman team, but that has helped our continuity.”

The Warriors were 16-2-2 last year, with the losses being at a high level — 2-1 in overtime to Ramsey in the Bergen County tournament and 3-2 in penalty kicks to New Milford in North 1, Group 1 state quarterfinals. They plan to follow the same blueprint that their coaches outline each season.
