Michelle Sidor long ago had started to draw the attention of opposing defenses and college recruiters alike before she added an exclamation point to her brilliant freshman season.
The Record Female Athlete of the Week scored 34 points to lead Saddle River Day to a 53-36 victory over Immaculate Conception in the Bergen County girls basketball tournament final Feb. 21.
The 5-foot-8 point guard and sometimes shooting guard says that although the team has turned its attention toward winning the North Non-Public B title, you probably could guess things have been humming along pretty well for the Rebels. Sidor said if there was anything resembling adversity in their season, it was a 60-43 loss to Rumson-Fair Haven on Jan. 17.
