Rebecca Rabeiro has fond memories of all those rainy mornings and snowy afternoons spent launching shots at the basket in her driveway. Her hands would grow numb from the cold and her clothes would be sopping wet, but she would keep shooting and dribbling until it got too dark to see the rim.
“When I was a freshman and just starting varsity, I used to go out every day and shoot and shoot and shoot,” the Midland Park senior said. “My mom would be like, ‘Why are you outside? It’s raining.’ Or maybe it would be snowing. And I would be like ‘I have to play basketball.’ ”
