H.S. football: Cresskill Coach Bob Valli Retiring after 27 Years at the Helm

The strangest and perhaps toughest moment in Bob Valli’s 37 years at Cresskill High School may have been simply showing up for work Wednesday morning.

“It was hard today,” said Valli, who has stepped down as the Cougars football coach after 27 years. “I told the team Tuesday night, and then, the next day, to walk in here and not be the football coach anymore … It was hard.”
