LODI – Jeff Horohonich earned the 500th win of his girls basketball coaching career Tuesday night when his Immaculate Conception team defeated Union Catholic, 55-32, in a non-league game at Felician College. Also achieving a major milestone for Immaculate Conception was senior forward Samantha Fuehring, the school’s all-time scoring leader, who scored a game-high 30 points to surpass 2,000 for her career at 2,003.
Horohonich has earned his 500 victories at four schools – Immaculate Conception, Immaculate Heart, Hanover Park and Hawthorne, where he began his scholastic basketball coaching career in December 1984. He has also compiled 500 wins (555) on the softball diamond.
