* Highly touted freshman G Asonah Alexander of Queen of Peace made a big impression in her Bergen County tournament debut, averaging 19 points in two games.
* Junior G Erin McQuillen continues to shine for Cresskill. She averaged 22.6 points, six rebounds and 4.5 steals in three games last week, including 31 points against Harrison in an NJIC tournament game.
* Emerson improved to 10-4 last week, with Devin Riker and Carly Petrower continued to come up big for the Cavos. Riker averaged 19 points, Petrower 14.7
* Secaucus has won eight straight, and senior G Kristina Ulrich continues to be the catalyst. She’s averaging a team-high 18 ppg to go along with 3.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 5.1 steals.
* Brianna Brooks continued her stellar season for Saddle Brook by earning a triple-double in a win over Wallington. The junior C had 27 points, 15 rebounds and 12 steals.
* Brooke Van Lenten had another big performance for Eastern Christian in its Passaic County tournament win Saturday. The junior G scored 22 points and hit two three-pointers. She’s averaging 13 points and seven rebounds per game this season.
* Lizzie Alba helped lead Glen Rock to a win over Pompton Lakes, as the junior F scored 21 points and made five three-pointers.
* Junior F Kristen Wernicki is averaging 10.8 points per game for Rutherford, while also earning 6.6 rebounds per game. Senior F Jessica Rogers continues to be a force for the Bulldogs, averaging 16.7 ppg.
