Following an outstanding scholastic lacrosse career at Glen Rock High School, Fiona McDonald is preparing to head for Hamilton College in upstate New York and play for the Continentals in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
Glen Rock coach Taryn Tabano said her four-year starter was recruited by Division 1 schools but decided that a small liberal arts school would be best for her.
“I was looking for a small liberal arts school with good academics and competitive lacrosse to continue my career for the next four years and I got great vibes when I went to Hamilton,” McDonald said. “I liked the school and the coach, Patty Kloidt, who has a really great philosophy in which the school comes first.”
McDonald received academic All-American honors her junior and senior years and earned All-Bergen County and all-division recognition. She was the recipient of the Lacrosse Senior Recognition Award, the Glen Rock Lacrosse Association Athletic Scholarship and Founders Award.
