Last year: 17-4; No. 16
Marquee game: Oct. 10 at Glen Rock
Best assets: The Knights return nine starters from a team that won its league crown and advanced to the North 1, Group 1 state final. Senior Erin Bigger and sophomore Lexy Monroy both earned third-team All County recognition last year and are expected to lead a strong offensive unit along with all-league forward Cydney Borner and midfielders Caroline Uribe and Nicole Garcia. Most of the team has been practicing together since last spring so there shouldn’t be much rust early in the year, and there’s plenty of motivation after losing in the sectional final last year.
Biggest concerns: The Knights graduated all-league goalie Cassidy Rizza, who conceded just 13 goals all season, and one of their best defenders. Junior Autumn Rogers is expected to take over the goalie position while Justine Ricciardelli, Jessie Whittaker, Lauren Fritschka, Julie Venechanos and Emily Cello anchor the backline.
