Marquee game: Sept. 12 v. Park Ridge
Best assets: All-League senior forward Brianna Gallagher returns to lead what should be a strong offensive attack. She scored 10 goals last year for the North 1, Group 1 champions and is expected to team with all-league senior midfielder Kristina Favo and emerging junior forward Erin Archer to do most of the goal scoring and creating. With 13 other returning players who saw varsity action last year, including Erin Cunneely, Sara McLaughlin and Isabella Ayvaz, there’s also plenty of depth behind them.
Biggest concerns: The Warriors graduated their top two central defenders and standout goalie Jessica Colucci. They expect seniors Anna Puglise and Katie Ottavio to fill the role of defensive stoppers up the middle while the new net minder settles in. Even though there is depth on this team, they still don’t know how they’ll play as a unit and building chemistry will be vital to the success.
