HAWTHORNE – Hawthorne never stopped believing. Even when down to their final three outs, the Bears were confident they could mount a comeback.
After giving up a run in the top of the seventh, Hawthorne’s faith was rewarded as it answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning and defeated Wayne Valley, 3-2, in a Passaic County tournament opening-round softball game Monday.
