LODI — Senior pitcher Linzi Reginald struck out a season-high 12 batters and went 3-for-3 with one RBI, as No. 30 Lodi defeated No. 35 Leonia, 4-3, Wednesday in the preliminary round of the Bergen County softball tournament. It was the Rams’ first win in the tourney since 2004.     Leonia had the tying run on third with two outs in the seventh, but Reginald induced a game-ending ground out.

NORTH ARLINGTON 1, WALDWICK 0 (at Waldwick): No. 39 North Arlington upset No. 26 Waldwick in the preliminary round of the Bergen County tournament, striking for the game’s only run in the fourth on an RBI from Danica Krawczyk. Pitcher Taylor Barth fired a two-hit shutout for North Arlington.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS 6, GARFIELD 4 (at Hasbrouck Heights): The 31st-seeded Aviators prevailed  thanks to a six-run sixth inning, getting one RBI each from Sami Partyka, Jessica Gasparino, Swati Shivkumar and Diana Torres.

GLEN ROCK 7, BERGEN TECH 4 (at Glen Rock): The 24th-seeded Panthers trailed, 4-2, but struck for three in the fourth and one each in the fifth and sixth to advance. Morgan Foley came on with two outs in the fourth to earn the win.
