LYNDHURST – Senior right-hander Jenn Tellefsen pitched a seven-inning perfect game, striking out 17, to lead Lyndhurst to a 5-0 victory over Secaucus on Wednesday in an NJIC Liberty Division softball game.

A returning second-team All-Bergen County player, Tellefsen shut down the Patriots, one of the better hitting teams in the NJIC. Tellefsen had an RBI double in the third inning and junior Haley Duffy had a home run and three RBI for Lyndhurst, the No. 24 team in The Record’s Top 25 rankings, which scored four runs in the fourth inning to expand upon a 5-0 lead.

BOGOTA 14, WALDWICK 13 (at Bogota): Emily Vasquez had an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Anna Maria Martinez with the winning run in a Patriot Division game. Leslie Gonzalez had a home run and three RBI and Vasquez had a double and three RBI for Bogota.

Junior outfielder Sophia Minando had a home run and four RBI for Waldwick. Callie Fucarino had a double and three RBI for the Warriors, who tied the game 13-13 with five runs in the top of the seventh.

RUTHERFORD 11, POMPTON LAKES 1 (at Pompton Lakes): Kathleen Nowinski drove in three runs and Leigha Goldsack threw a three-hitter to lift the Lady Bulldogs past the Cardinals in a Colonial Division game.

WEEHAWKEN 12, WALLINGTON 2 (at Wallington): Sophomore right-hander Sophie Chong threw a three-hitter over six innings, striking out seven and walking two while allowing one earned run in the Meadowlands Division game. At the plate, Chong went 3-for-5 with an RBI and her sister, Samantha, contributed a double and three RBI.

NORTH ARLINGTON 10, PATERSON CHARTER 1 (at North Arlington): Freshman Alyssa Miller, in her first varsity game, pitched three innings in relief, allowing one hit and one run while striking out five and walking five as she picked up the win in a Meadowlands Division game.

Marissa Piscal went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI and Marissa Torres went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI for the Vikings.
