EAST RUTHERFORD – Senior Tyler Loughlin saluted the Becton/Wallington fans in the stands on Saturday after four years as district champion.

Loughlin again captured a district championship at his home mat of Becton High School.

The Becton senior collected the 152-pound District 15 title on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the 2014 individual state district tournament.

While collecting his fourth district title, the district coaches named the Wildcats senior as the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.

Loughlin would defeat Clifton‘s Pat DePasque, 11-5, and admitted that he struggled because of a knee injury. The match was stopped for a minute after his knee hurt, but would go on to the victory.
