HARRISON – After sweeping both sets of today’s matchup with Garfield at Harrison High School, 25-16, 25-13, the Blue Tide have started the season a perfect 3-0.
But the Harrison boys volleyball team was focused on another, much more important accomplishment – the win marked Harrison head coach Nick Landy’s 100th career win.
After the game, he was presented with a volleyball signed by past players a plaque signed by the 2015 squad.
“It definitely was not a one-man show, I’m standing on the shoulders of all those guys (players and assistant coach Anthony Sabia). It was nice to see a few of them come back today,” Landy said. “Without those guys I wouldn’t be standing here with this 100 wins ball. I can’t do it on my own and these guys are a big help.”
