Harrison senior Modou Sowe spent the last two seasons earning his stripes as one of the most effective boys soccer players in Hudson County.
After a highly productive senior season for the Blue Tide, Sowe picked up his most impressive honor. Sowe, a 6-foot-4 center back, was named The Star-Ledger’s boys soccer Player of the Year when the paper’s annual All-Ledger edition was released Sunday.
Sowe scored 19 goals and posted six assists for the Blue Tide this fall, helping the perennial Hudson County power capture its second Hudson County Tournament championship and second consecutive NJSIAA sectional title.
