ENGLEWOOD – The Cresskill Cougars boys basketball team continued their torrid start (5-1), by blasting rival Dwight-Englewood 60-41, on the strength of good post play, the afternoon of Jan. 3.

Beating Dwight by 19 was special for senior shooting guard Matt Flood.

“It means the world,” Flood said. “There are always battles between the two teams ever since I was a freshman.”

Cougars coach Mike Doto praised his team’s effort, pointing out the second quarter’s light-outs defense and repeatedly feeding the ball into the post as being important trends in this game.
