The Record
Matt Gray is known around Park Ridge as Matty Ice.
Gray is also a runner. A weight lifter. A bowler with a high score of 159. A football team manager. A lover of chips, soft-serve ice cream and Burger King trips. An excellent Frisbee thrower. And, according to the sign posted in his front yard, he is No. 11 for the Fighting Owls football team of Park Ridge.You would have to get pretty far down the checklist to get to Down Syndrome, because that’s not what defines the 18-year-old senior.
What does define him is unconditional love.
