Hailey Backo, Wallington, Jr.
Backo has provided plenty of early-season pop at the plate for Wallington. In the first four games Backo went 9-for-14 with seven runs, four RBIs, three doubles and a triple to go along with a pair of stolen bases.
Elizabeth Lopez, Eastern Christian, Jr.
Lopez has been a strikeout artist through the early goings of the season. In two appearances last week, the junior gave up just two hits and struck out 37 batters, 22 in a 1-0, 8-inning win over Manchester Regional, to push Eastern Christian to a fast start.
