The Hasbrouck Heights girls won the Long Branch Invitational and the boys took second to Group 4 power Trenton.

Aviator winners included Jillian DiGiacinto in the 800 (2:26.77), Stacey Porzl in the long jump (16-6), the 4-x-400 relay team for the girls (4:12.75) and Clarence Reyes in the 110 high hurdles (15.50) for the boys. Steve Salerno was second in the shot (48-3 1/2) and discus (129-6), while Mauro Altamura (161-7) was second in the javelin.

Carleisha Forteau of Secaucus won the 400 (59.35) and high jump (5-0) and was third in the 200 (26.20) in the same meet.

Erin McHugh, a Waldwick senior, won the javelin by more than 25 feet with a meet-record throw of 115-11 at the Crusader Relays.
