* Cresskill freshman IF/P Ohjiro Motoki hit his first varsity home run Friday against Bogota.

* Senior right-hander David Mascis won his start and picked up a win in relief for Hawthorne last week. He has struck out nine and allowed only one run in 8 1/3 innings. At the plate, senior RF Tyler Charles went 5-for-9 (.556), doubled, homered, drove in five runs and scored three times in the Bears’ first three games.

* Sophomore IF/P Elian Guzman had six hits in his first eight at-bats (.750) for Lodi.

* Ridgefield junior SS John Biggiani, the Royals’ No. 3 hitter, had six hits and six RBI in his first 10 at-bats.

* Junior left-hander Jeremy Walka threw a five-inning no-hitter for Secaucus in a 17-0 victory over Bergen Charter on Friday. He struck out eight and walked four.

* Waldwick has scored 41 runs in its first four games. Keep an eye on junior 3B/DH John Apgar (.455, two doubles, a home run and four RBI) and sophomore 1B Spencer McNamara (.429, three doubles, seven RBI).
