Wood-Ridge 5, Pascack Valley 3: Anthony Latoracca’s RBI triple in the top of the seventh inning Wednesday snapped a tie and helped 20th-seeded Wood-Ridge upset No. 13 Pascack Valley, 5-3, in the opening round of the Bergen County baseball tournament.It is the Blue Devils’ first county tournament win since 1974.Ethan Wilde had two hits and three RBI and junior right-hander Ryan Morrone struck out eight in six innings of relief for the win at Hillsdale.

PARAMUS 9, BECTON 0 (at Paramus): Steve Lockwood struck out seven in four innings for the ninth-seeded Spartans. Joey Lentz led the offense with two hits and three RBI.

RIDGEWOOD 4, LODI 3 (at Ridgewood): Anthony Hroncich’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh gave the 10th-seeded Maroons the win.Sean Cullen, who had two RBI, tied the game moments before with an RBI double.

EMERSON 5, WESTWOOD 4, 8 INN. (at Emerson): Anthony Scozzafava’s walk-off home run lifted the No. 11 Cavos, who have won six straight and 12 of their last 13.Emerson scored two runs in the sixth and two more in the bottom of the seventh to climb out of a 4-0 hole. Anthony Laureano’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh tied the game.
