* Cresskill used a powerful 1-2 punch with sophomore RB Antonio Lora and junior RB Ben Stein in a win over Secaucus. Lora rushed for 120 yards and two TDs on 18 carries. Stein carried the ball 10 times for 91 yards and two TDs.

* The Glen Rock defense stood out in its first win of the season, 14-6 over Manchester. Senior LBs Matt Loscalzo and Matt Sapoff each had 10 tackles. The Panthers’ secondary knocked down five passes and intercepted one.

* Harrison beat Hawthorne, 13-6, in its opener Friday night and extended its winning streak to three games. The Blue Tide last won three straight in 2010, but one of those wins came by forfeit.

* Palisades Park/Leonia won its first game with a win over Garfield. Senior LB Philip Walsh had seven tackles to help limit the Boilermakers to just one TD.

* Saddle Brook junior RB Vinny Camilleri had a major impact on both sides of the ball in a win over North Arlington. He ran for 115 yards on eight carries and returned an interception 61 yards for a TD. The CB also had six tackles.

* St. Mary junior RB Shawan Gresham rushed for 148 yards and scored four touchdowns on just seven carries in the Gaels’ defeat of Ridgefield.

* Wallington tallied 450 total yards of offense in its win over Weehawken, including 333 on the ground without the team’s starting quarterback. Junior RB Elijah Mitchell paved the way with 15 carries for 174 yards and three TDs. The victory snapped the Panthers’ four-game losing streak, dating back to last season, and was Wallington’s first win over Weehawken since 2013. The Panthers were outscored by the Indians, 72-33, the past two seasons.
