Oleksandr Anisimov, Elmwood Park, So., K
Anisimov was key in the Crusaders’ 16-7 road win at Lodi this past week. He booted three field goals and one extra point to help Elmwood Park improve to 2-3 this season. Anisimov is a perfect 5-for-5 in field goal attempts this fall.
Ethan Diaz, Butler, Jr., RB
Diaz has been a workhorse all season as he was a Week 0 Offensive Player of the Week, and he played his usual bell cow role in Butler’s 27-14 road win over Butler on Friday. The DePaul transfer rushed for three scores for the fifth week in a row with this effort coming with 194 yards on 34 totes. His season line is 105-839-15 in five games.
Matthew LaCroix, Pompton Lakes, So., QB
In a huge 21-14 victory at home over Glen Rock this past Saturday, LaCroix did a little bit of everything. He threw for 207 yards to consistently move the chains. On the ground, LaCroix rushed for two touchdowns. With the Cardinals sitting at 3-2 in the standings, LaCroix has five total passing touchdowns and three rushing scores.
Luciano Mayer, Waldwick-Midland Park, Jr., RB
Mayer’s consistent presence in the ground game has helped the Warriors to a 4-1 start. This past week, he ran for 156 yards and three touchdowns in the team’s 42-0 win over Cresskill/Emerson Boro. In five games, Mayer has rushed for 13 touchdowns and 818 yards.
Ronald Rosario, North Arlington, Sr., WR
Rosario helped North Arlington earn its second win of the year in 20-7 fashion over Saddle Brook at home on Thursday. The senior speedster was senior quarterback Shane Crudele’s top target as he produced eight catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns to go with four carries for 43 yards and a two-point conversion. He’s now up to a season receiving line of 27-409-5 and a rushing line of 20-180-3.
