Weekly Round Up May 20-25
Lyndhurst Baseball:  Lyndhurst 5, Hackettstown 1: Max Hart tossed a complete game four-hitter with eight strikeouts and three walks as Lyndhurst defeated Hackettstown 5-1 in North 2 Group-2 playoff action.
Eastern Christian Softball:   Ashley Manger 10k’s, no walk, no ER, in  one run lost to Saddle Brook and a no-hitter, 12k’s, 5 inning 10 – 0 win against St Mary’s Rutherford
Secaucus Track and Field:     The team advances 20 boys and girls to the Group 1 Championship down in Egg Harbor. The boys finished 5th in the team standings led by Keeneth Ross’ 3rd place finish in the 400m and Tim Charles placing 4th in the javelin throw. The girls placed 6th overall with 2nd place finishes in the 4×100 and 4×400 anchored by Carleisha Forteau who also place 3rd in the 400m and 2nd in the 200m.
Softball: Danielle Roesing pitched a one-hitter as Secaucus defeated Belvidere, 7-1, in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1 quarterfinals in Belvidere.Roesing struck out seven, allowing two walks and an unearned run for Secaucus. Lauren Guillen was 2-for-5 with three RBI, including a two-run home run in the seventh inning. Kim Alfonso went 3-for-3 with an RBI, Jessie Koerner was 3-for-4 and Danielle Mitchell added two RBI for Secaucus.
