HARRISON – Harrison outscored Dover, 4-3, in a penalty-kick shootout after a 2-2 tie through regulation and two sudden death overtime sessions to earn the North 2, Group 2 boys soccer championship Thursday.
The top-seeded Blue Tide (20-3) will play Newton in a Group 2 state semifinal game at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday night at Livingston High School.
Harrison has won nine straight games and earned the NJIC Liberty Division championship this year. Sixth-seeded Dover finished at 12-7-2.
