Mike Paskas is looking to have a big year and lead the Wilkes University football team to a conference title and most importantly a bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
Wilkes last won the Middle Atlantic Conference championship in 2006.
Taking home the Middle Atlantic title in 2015 would mean a bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
And the team and coaches have put a lot of faith into Paskas, a 2012 Rutherford High School graduate, as he was named one of the three captains of the 2015 Wilkes University team in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. “I just want to be someone that the team looks up to,” said Paskas. “I want to be mentally and physically ready for the season.”
In addition Paskas is excited for his senior year because he will start the season at linebacker. Last season, he started at defensive back before being moved at the end of the season back to linebacker.
He could not be happier that he returned to linebacker in the last couple of games last season, and he will play linebacker this season.
