LODI — Immaculate Conception’s Sarah Piening fired a complete-game, one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts, as the top-seeded Blue Wolves advanced to the North Non-Public B final after their 3-0 win over Montclair Kimberley on Friday.

Immaculate Conception, the defending Non-Public B state champion, struck for one run in the third and two in the sixth, getting one RBI each from Nikki Kupersmith and Amanda Zielinski.

Freshman Gabby Fredette added a triple for IC (25-2).

EASTERN CHRISTIAN 16, HUDSON CATHOLIC 4 (at Jersey City): Second-seeded Eastern Christian scored 16 runs on 20 hits to advance to the North Non-Public B final, where it will meet top-seeded Immaculate Conception.

Tara Kleinmanns led the way, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and three runs, while Anita Karr added four hits, one RBI and two runs.

Bethany Kuiken went 3-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored, while Jenna Struyk, Jolie Wolyniec, Angelina Picciotto and Rachel Ziegler all added two hits for Eastern Christian.
