Kendall Caruso’s three-run home run was the highlight of an eight-run second inning as third-seeded Secaucus defeated Hoboken, 14-2, in the semifinals of the Hudson County Tournament in Secaucus.
Caruso had four RBI, Jessie Koerner went 3-for-3 and Danielle Mitchell was 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run for Secaucus. Danielle Roesing struck out 10 in five innings, allowing two runs, three hits and three walks.
Alliah Boyd and Taylor Barron had RBI triples for seventh-seeded Hoboken.
