Secaucusjunior Roshni Patel sped ahead to break her sixth school record of the season last Friday at the Lancer Invitational. She finished in 4th place and set a new Patriots record at the Livingston High School course with a time of 20:50. She shaved nearly 30 seconds off teammate Samantha Nesheiwat’s 2013 record time of 21:19.
On Friday, Nesheiwat finished in 13th in 21:41.
Shaun O’Brien took 6th place for Secaucus on the boys side after finishing in 17:26. Four freshmen also took home medals: Ming Lin, Oscar Martinez, Ali AlObaidi and Luis Pino.
