* Sophomore right-handed pitcher Noelle Evelina of Garfield threw a no-hitter and went 3-for-4 with two RBI in a 13-0 win over Garfield on Friday. She also went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run in an 8-1 win over Lodi on Wednesday.

* Junior catcher Hallie Donofrio of Waldwick made a major impact for the Warriors last week. She went 3-for-4 with an RBI in a 4-3 eight-inning win over Cresskill a week ago. Then in a 6-0 win over Bogota on Wednesday, she was 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and an RBI. In a 17-2 victory at Palisades Park on Friday, she was 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs and three RBI and also caught a runner attempting to steal. In an 11-2 win over Dwight Morrow on Saturday, she was 2-for-4 with two runs, three RBI and four runners caught stealing. For the week she was 9-for-15 with five runs and eight RBI, and threw out five runners attempting to steal.

* Saddle Brook coach Darren White earned his 450th win when the Falcons (6-1) defeated Becton, 5-0, on Wednesday. Junior left fielder Ana Sand went 7-for-10 with three doubles, one triple, one home run and six RBI, and sophomore catcher Morgan Santora went 6-for-10 with two doubles, two home runs and seven RBI during a 5-0 week for Saddle Brook. Junior Taryn DiGiacomo recently came back from a right quad injury and is 3-0, having allowed two earned runs and recorded 26 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched.

* Senior Katie Kontos pitched a three-hitter, striking out 17, to help Midland Park past Emerson, 7-2, a week ago. On the season, Kontos has struck out 40 and walked nine while allowing 16 hits in 22 innings.
