COACH’S COMMENTS: “She had an incredible week. Every game was a big game. It’s the county tournament, you lose, you go home. She’s probably one of the hardest working kids I’ve ever coached. When it’s a must-win game, she’s definitely going to be on her A game.”

“Saturday was probably one of her best games. North Bergen’s a quality program, they’re the reigning champs. She just went in with the mindset that I’m not losing this game and I’m going to do whatever I can to win.” — Cherryl Bott, Secaucus softball coach.

ON WINNING COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP: “We’re still talking about it. It’s going around the whole school. It’s been great, we’re all just smiling about it.”

THREE-SPORT PERFORMER: Danielle is a four-year varsity player for Secaucus in volleyball, basketball and softball. Roesing has been a first team All-Hudson selection in softball each of the past two years. In volleyball she was a first team All-Hudson selection in volleyball three times.

WEARING No. 17: “I wanted to follow my sister’s footsteps, so that’s how I got that number.” Roesing’s sister, Cory, was a three-sport standout at Secaucus and a first team All-State selection in volleyball. She is currently an assistant volleyball coach at Secaucus.
