Jason DeMarco, Hawthorne, Jr., P: DeMarco, who leads Hawthorne in strikeouts with 37, threw a complete-game, four-hit shutout last week against Manchester Regional. He threw only 80 pitches, struck out 10 and walked one.

Branden Melendez, St. Mary (Ruth.), Sr., OF: The Ursinus College commit was raking last week. He went 6-for-14, knocked in eight runs and scored three. He also cracked a double and a home run for the Gaels. In 2021, Melendez has 23 hits and 23 RBI.
