Noah Cruz, Garfield, Sr., LB
Cruz anchored the defensive effort for Garfield in its 33-14 home win over Lyndhurst on Friday. Cruz finished the game with a season-high 12 tackles, including one for loss, to go with an interception – his second of the season.
Julian Ingala, Park Ridge, Jr., LB
In a 42-0 statement win over Wallington, Ingala helped the Owls defense with seven tackles, including two for a loss. He also picked off a pass, marking his second interception of the season.
Spencer Litali, New Milford, So., LB
Litali spearheaded a vicious defensive effort for New Milford in a 54-6 home win over Secaucus on Saturday. The sophomore thumper racked up five tackles, four of which came for loss, to go with a forced fumble on Secaucus’ first play from scrimmage.
Dylan Perez, Wood-Ridge, So., LB
In the 47-21 win over Weehawken, Perez was one of two Blue Devils to rack up 12 tackles (Dominick Decandia). Perez also had a fumble recovery, his second in four games. As part of a 4-0 Wood-Ridge squad, Perez has 23 tackles and two sacks this season.
Jack Spitaleri, Glen Rock, Jr., LB
Spitaleri was all over the ball this past week against Cresskill/Emerson Boro. In the 35-4 win, Spitaleri paced the Panthers defense with a scoop-and-score fumble recovery touchdown and one sack. He also compiled six tackles, including two for a loss. Spitaleri also had a receiving touchdown to help Glen Rock improve to 2-1.
