Dante Geanoules, Rutherford, So., 144
Rutherford saw wins in a pair of duals last week versus Nutley (48-31) and then Bogota/Ridgefield Park (43-30). The sophomore in Geanoules lost his bout to Nutley’s Clayden Leybovich in an 8-7 decision, but he would come back the next day against Bogota’s Adrian Laino and win a 13-11 decision. Laino was a Region 2 qualifier last season, so the success came versus stiff competition for Geanoules.
