RUTHERFORD – St. Mary has found its stride as the season reaches the championship stage. The Gaels used some early-season struggles to keep them focused on getting better and it has paid off.

The junior- and sophomore-dominated lineup won its seventh straight Saturday afternoon, knocking off Mater Dei, 35-0, at Tamblyn Field. The victory earned it another shot at St. Joseph of Hammonton in two weeks with the Non-Public Group 1 crown on the line.
