Shulkin won the first singles flight at the Bergen County tournament, beating Alapani of Bergen Tech in the county final. Unbeaten in the NJIC this season, the Panthers won 17 team matches and took the Group 1 state title. Seeded in the top 16 of the state singles tournament, Shulkin reached the fourth round of the bracket before falling to the No. 3 overall seed.
