NJIC Volleyball PLayers of the Week
Jeremy Rivera, Jr., Harrison
Rivera began his role as Harrison’s starting setter in very good fashion with 78 assists as the Blue Tide started 3-1. He finished with just nine assists all of last season but with extended playing time this season has already made a major impact. He also finished with 21 digs and three kills and should only improve more as this season moves on.
Ylan Tapper, Jr., Garfield
Tapper led the NJIC in kills with 45 while also putting together 22 digs to help lead Garfield to a 2-1 record. He performed well last season with 154 kills but is already on pace to break that number and already broke his previous career-high of 14 kills with an 18-kill performance in a three-set win over Harrison on April 5.
