NJIC Players of the Week

Jeremy Rivera, Jr., Harrison

Rivera’s assist numbers continue to rise in his first year as the starting setter for Harrison. With a conference-high 104 assists this past week, the junior is now up to 452 for the season and should hit 500 this season. His best game this past week came last Friday when in a three-set win over Hoboken, Rivera established a new career-high in assists with 34 to go along with five service points and two aces.

Jan Lesnicki, So., Lyndhurst

A sophomore name to watch in the NJIC, Lesnicki had his best week of the season as he compiled 27 kills, a conference-high seven blocks, and four aces in four games for Lyndhurst. Over half of his total kills this week came in one game when on Monday against Paterson Charter, Lesnicki put together a career-high line of 14 kills and four blocks.
