Weehawken 4, Ferris 3
Nicole Primero had the game-winning RBI as Weehawken, the ninth seed, defeated Ferris, the eighth seed, 4-3, in the second round of the Hudson County Tournament in Jersey City.
Weehawken trailed, 3-0, after one inning. After Weehawken scored one run in both the fourth and fifth innings, Anna Lentini tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI single in the sixth inning.
Sophie Chong threw a three-hitter, striking out seven and walking one for Weehawken. Jennifer Acosta was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Samantha Chong hit a double and scored twice.
