Castaneda walked away with the 144-pound title at the Minuteman Classic in Elizabeth on Saturday. He pinned (4:37) his way past Elizabeth’s Braulio Villafana into the quarterfinals before he won by 7-2 decision over Irvington’s Zaahmir Anderson. A 7-0 decision over Middletown North’s Connor Brown in the semifinals followed by a 3:29 pin of Plainfield’s Michael Burnett got Castaneda his gold.
